With a considerable success after the introduction of its N-series, like Nokia N90, the Nokia Corporation is quick to introduce its another handset named Nokia N70. The Nokia N70 looks great unlike the monotonous inventions of handsets. It has got a compact body wherein the display and the keypad are perfectly situated. An availabilty of adjustable brightness which is excellent is also provided with N70. The keypad is made better with its backlight. The handset has a Five-way navigational key. Now it will be quite weird to know that some of the features of N70 are similar to that of one of the previous inventions of Nokia i.e Nokia 6680 though these features have been improved upon. The Nokia N70's screen and keypad are well surrounded by a stainless steel bezel and so it adds to its exceedingly classy as well as stylish looks. But the steel bezel will easily reveal the scratches if there are any.

Nokia-N-99-N series

The Nokia N99, is it real. Pictures are floating around the net. Blogs are talking about it, bookmarks are getting interesting reviews. Social networks, are spreading the word. Faster then wild fire, spreads a fire. The speculation is end less. The true question is. Will, this phone be on the market anytime soon? That question, has been on every nokia fans mind. The answer, is still un answered. Though, some high profile blogs have reported, that the phone is still in its building stage.
Considering, the iphone has just been released. Maybe it is a good idea, the Nokia N99 stays put. What the phone offers, is still not yet answered. Though, the pictures floating around. Looks, like Nokia will be having windows mobile OS? If this is true, will this be worth buying? What version of windows will they run? Shifty sources, have claimed. That the phone, might be using a new mobile OS. Vista, which was earlyier released from microsoft. Proclaiming itself, as the next best OS out there. Another great, OS by microsoft themself. Though, vista being on a mobile phone. Will be extremely insane, and radical!
Another odd thing about the Nokia N99, is the keyboard. They seem, to not care about the new futuristic designs. Touch screen, surface touch, or anything related to not clicking. Instead, the phone has a “qwerty” keyboard layout. The general opinon of the mass media, consumer. They seem to be ok with it. As long as the phone carries wifi, email, gps, consumers seem to be satisfied. Speculating, at the other phones in the current market. It might be safe to say, the Nokia N99 will have a camera and mp3 system. So that you may share, send and take pictures. As well as download, your favorite song of the day.

Today in London, Sony Ericsson announced the latest addition to its Cyber-shot family of camera phones, the new K770 Cyber-shot Phone. Like the other Cyber-shot cameraphones, the K770 Cyber-shot Phone makes use of an auto-focus lens system to make sure that photos come out crisp and clean. In fact, the company claims that prints of up to A4 (roughly 8.5? x 11?) in size can be made from the K770’s photos. Considering its auto-focus lens system, the K770 Cyber-shot Phone is still reasonably thin in profile, measuring about 14.5mm (.57?).
One of the more user friendly aspects of K770’s camera is how it makes use of a set of backlighted icons on the numeric keypad to show users which keys work as shortcuts of K770 Cyber-shot Phone to which functions.

If a new battery is not charging

8:29 AM / Posted by Hafeez Iqbal. / comments (0)

One needs to discharge and recharge a new battery at least 2-4 times for it to reach it's maximum rated capacity, as most of these new batteries, are not charged. An overnight charge or 12 hours, is a good enough time for your battery. An indication could be the battery getting warm to the touch. When charging the battery for the first time, the device may indicate that charging is complete after just 10 or 15 minutes. This is normal with
rechargeable batteries. New batteries are hard for the device to charge; they have never been fully charged and not "broken in." Sometimes the device's charger will stop charging a new battery before it is fully charged. If this happens, remove the battery from the device and then reinsert it. The charge cycle should begin again.

Prevent the Memory Effect - Keep the battery healthy by fully charging and then fully discharging it at least once every two to three weeks. Exceptions to the rule are Li-Ion batteries, which do not suffer from the memory effect. Do not leave the battery dormant for long periods of time.
Always use a battery charger, which is by the same manufacturer as your phone, it gives it more life. It also helps if you overcharge your battery now and then.
Keep the Batteries Clean - It's a good idea to clean dirty battery contacts with a cotton swab and alcohol. This helps maintain a good connection between the battery and the portable device.
Do not leave your cell phone near any source of heat, a common place being the dashboard of your car, as extreme heat may affect the battery. The battery also operates better at room temperature, vis-à-vis extreme cold.
The vibrator mode of your cell phone consumes more battery, so when not needed, use the ring-tone mode.
Battery Storage - If you don't plan on using the battery for a month or more, store it in a clean, dry, cool place away from heat and metal objects. Batteries tend to de-charge when not in use, so make sure you charge them again before using. The performance of any cell phone battery, however, no matter how properly cared for, usually diminishes after about a year. It is better to get your battery replaced then.

A smart phone

One step further are PDA-enabled phones, more commonly known as smart phones. These have a Digital Organiser, Excel, Word and Internet capabilities- all in one phone. Some even have an integrated camera and a MP3 player. These phones have large screens and allow you to write into it (after you learn the easy technique). They also have voice recognition capabilities. These features make the phone bulkier and costlier but then these gizmos sure do separate the men from the boys.

Technology of mobile phone

This is the age of Multimedia Messaging Service. MMS is in; a versatile feature that allows users to send colour pictures, photographs, voice clips, programs, videos and ofcourse text from their cell phones. The rates are a little higher as compared to SMS, but MMS opens up a whole new world of communication at your finger tips. All you need is an MMS-enabled phone and a subscription to a service provider that supports MMS. With MMS, you can, not only send your messages from one phone to another, but also from phone to email, and vice versa.
You can send, store and edit picture messages. There are a number of sites online that let you download pictures free of charge. Some MMS phones even come with an inbuilt camera, so a person can click pictures spontaneously and send them across to another MMS cell phone user. But with phones that do not have an in-built camera, these pictures have to be obtained from the Internet. The messages sent and received are either in text or graphics, once again depending on the phone model. With MMS, you can even download MP3 music, games and video clips on your phone!

Learning the features of mobile phone

8:20 AM / Posted by Hafeez Iqbal. / comments (0)

As usual, lets get the factual inputs right from the consumer's viewpoint. Speaking of features, one of the most popular is that of a 'Voice Dialer'. A voice recognition system that allows you to dial a telephone number stored in your phone memory by just saying the person's name. You could store telephone numbers and verbally record the names of people you wish to fill up in your phonebook / memory. The most suitable for today's hassle-free world of pace and time, Voice Dialer provides an almost effortless dialing system to its users. Just say the name and abracadabra… your phone is already in the process of connecting you to the dialled call. One such lucky user of this incredible function is Mrs. Seema Lal. " I think it's a real boon. Specially while driving. While dialing the number manually one can get distracted, but this is a real treat. Just call out the caller's name and you are already getting connected." She explains gladly. Long, long ago when communication modes were scarce, imagining such a possibility would be laughed upon. But now it's all there right in front of our eyes. Too good to be true!

Yet another interesting feature is the Enhanced Full Rate Speech (EFR). This feature helps in reducing the background noise that gets transmitted along with your voice while speaking on the phone. Highly advantageous in order to deliver an audible and a clear speech, this feature is just the apt requisite for our ever - so - crowded trains and buses. Mr. Ravi Khanna, a stockbroker is a loyal commuter of our dear old western railways since a long time now. " Traveling from Churchgate to Borivali is my everyday routine and since I'm into shares most of my work is done on my cellular phone. Earlier it used to be impossible, but now due to this special EFR function, conversing on the mobile has turn a lot better. Thankfully, my phone has turned in to a mini mobile office" says a satisfied Mr. Khanna. Whether the never - ending problem of our city's noise pollution is solved, cell phones have indeed come up with a credible solution. This feature is essentially supportive in theatres, crowded streets and huge public places. Technology for thought…sure has done some wonders .

How to buy a cell phone

8:19 AM / Posted by Hafeez Iqbal. / comments (0)

In the last decade the cell phone industry has grown thousand fold all around the world. A cell phone is somewhat necessary for an individual to keep up with the busy life of the current era. A few years back, a cell phone was not considered a necessity; it was just a luxury that was being enjoyed by only a small number of individuals. But nowadays, life without a cell phone seems impossible. People all around the world are addicted to the use of a cell phone. This is mainly because the cell phone is no longer just a cell phone; it has evolved into many things like a personal digital assistant (pda), music player, a global positioning system (gps) and a lot more. Everyday different manufacturers around the world are introducing the models with the new features. This is what needs to be taken into consideration when you go for buying a cell phone. You need to be sure about the features you want that suit your lifestyle well.

The Money Matter

Nowadays there is so much choice for an individual to buy a cell phone. Every company is producing the models with state of the art technology and features everyday. Price is the main thing that makes a difference in these different models. An expensive phone is likely to have more features, reliability and a better technology than a cheap one. Everyone wants a best phone in the market for him but high price of the cell phones comes in the way therefore price is a big thing that needs to be kept in mind while buying a cellular phone. But expensive and sophisticated phones are not everyone’s choice; there are people who just want a simple cell phone which is not much expensive but does its job well only as a cell phone. Also the extra features provided in the expensive phones are not everyone’s need.
Therefore the price is a main thing to keep in mind whenever you to buy a cell phone. Do not buy a cell phone just because it is expensive; buy the one that suits your needs.

Use of mobile phone

8:12 AM / Posted by Hafeez Iqbal. / comments (0)

With the passage of time, mobile phones have become sophisticated in their looks and versatile in their functions. For instance, the earliest models of mobiles have given way to third-generation  mobile phones. And the fact cannot be denied that the latest mobile phone handsets are significantly better than the earlier models in terms of usability, functionality and conformation to established standards of quality.

The latest mobile phones, apart from enabling us to talk with our family and friends, even when we are on the move, incorporate a number of innovative features and functions. Many of these handsets come with integrated mp3 players, digital cameras and FM radios. Some of them are empowered by 3g technology; these handsets can be used to talk face to face with people in real time as well as for accessing information from the Internet.

When the mobile phones came to the market for the first time, they had been marketed as a business tool. But what are they now? They are the major instruments in life in the present scenario.
Buzz up!Cell phones not only keep users "perpetually available", they also help in stress. For instance when you wait for a late morning train, you can be can be revived by making a call to mum or looking for a work contact.
People, who were making heavy use of their mobile phones, did not describe themselves as more rushed than lighter phone users.

Nearly two-thirds of all mobile communications monitored were to family and friends. Work-related calls were confined to standard work hours. Only 0.02 per cent interrupted a leisure activity and prompted actual work. Merely 2.6 per cent of the calls were made between 7pm and midnight.

People, who were making heavy use of their mobile phones, did not describe themselves as more rushed than lighter phone users. Most people still think mobile phones split up and rush our lives, but the reality is that it doesn’t seem to be a perniciously accelerating technology.
